Works great! I've been mulling this over for years and I'm so happy I finally did it! You likely won't be able to see in the video, but I added a USB-C extension cord from the header to the bottom of each window frame so I can recharge them on a 2' stool instead of a ladder.

Wonderful shades and they work great. Minor struggle to get them all to connect to Smart things/Alexa. I had to factory reset one and it connected fine after. Smart home stuff is always wonky regardless of manufacturer and not obvious where the issues reside. Highly recommend these. They look good and do their job. You can see in the video them in action along with the solar panels.

SmartWings seem to be of good quality and were easy to install. Programming with Alexa was a bit of a challenge. I wanted the blinds on a timer which can be done with an Alexa routine but I found it to be much simpler to program a sunrise to sundown routine with the smart hub.

We built a house with a beaitiful view and hated the idea of blinds. After searching everywhere we settled on this company because the blinds have very little footprint and when open they do not block our lovely view. Our guests
are happy how much light these blinds block out and the auto feature is convenient and quiet. We plan to purchase more blinds now that we know they will not ruin our favorite part of our home!

I’m shocked that these are so great. They were something like a third of the price of other options, and I assumed I’d be sacrificing something for that savings. While I don’t have the counterfactual product, these are absolutely lovely.
Oh, one sub-ideal factor is that the coloring is only on one side of the shades. It’s for an internal glass space and I wish I could have had something other than white on the one side. But it’s fine, and a ridiculously positive upgrade to my home.
